looking for mahi

headed out Tuesday for the first time in a long time. Any tips on how far the mahi are? Bogue or Beaufort.

i heard they were being caught around the 14 bouy to the 90ft drop last weekend

started at the first crack of light cast netting some peanut pogies. Went through the "anybody's guess" only green bouys channel of Bogue inlet and then had pretty smooth sailing to the Papose. Lines in and got a stinky pretty quick. Next up a medium size wahoo hit the ice. Headed offshore towards the Naeco and got a dolphin here and there, until we pulled one in with LOTS of buddies. The peanut pogies were the ticket and by 10:30 we had our limit of 30 mahi. Came back inshore some and picked up a nice 30" gag and some dandy BSB. All done and the boat on the trailer by 2:30.
