Yamaha Cuts!

Some sad news coming from Yamaha this week. Through cost cutting efforts, another round of lay offs occurred early in the week that included our good friend and champion of our sport Mike Dixon.
Mike will be missed .

Also heard they let go some of their top technical staff.

Wonder how this is a signal that Yamaha will be doing further reductions is support to save money such as being onsite at major events and service(s) they offer the teams.

I personally would rather had them stop the promotional mechandise give away and stop offering those sweetheart deals to some fishing teams to keep great people like Mike.
