NC Severe Weather
Awareness Week
February 28 - March 6
NC Severe Weather Awareness
Week is coming up on February
28—March 6. The Statewide
Tornado Drill will take place on
Wednesday March 3rd at 9:30
am. For the tornado drill the
National Weather Service will
broadcast the required monthly
test over NOAA Weather Radio
and will activate the state’s
Emergency Aler t System
including local radio and cable
stations. They will also issue
dai l y pub l i c inf ormat ion
statements starting Sunday,
February 28th and ending Friday
March 5th. They will also be
available on the National
Weather Service website.
